Hello, comrades! I want to say right away that I am not a specialist in cinema, and I will not evaluate the technical part of the picture. This record will be more correctly called not a review, but an advertising action, because my goal today is to force this masterpiece to see this masterpiece. We are talking about the film “Dersu Powal” of 1975.
This film appeared as a result of cooperation between the Soviet Mosfilm and the Japanese “Atel-41”. Both countries made a huge contribution to the creation of a picture, and therefore it is impossible to call it Soviet or Japanese. It is precisely Soviet-Japanese! It was the combination of the Russian soul and Japanese quality that brought it many prestigious awards, one of which was an Oscar for the best film in a foreign language. It all started with the fact that one notorious Japanese director read the book of Russian scientist Vladimir Klavdievich Arsenyev. It was called “Dersu Little”. Anyone who will probably ask this story with this story: “What these words mean?”. Dersu Uzala is the name of the hunter, who was shut up by Arseniev during his trip to the Ussuri Territory. The story described in the book impressed the Japanese very much, and he decided to film it, but soon realized that it was necessary to shoot where all the events occurred. After some time, he turned to the Soviet Union for help. Many are no longer tolerated to find out the name of the director. He was the greatest Akira Yamaoca Kurosava, who glorified Japanese cinema for the whole world. With the support of Soviet filmmakers, he began to create another masterpiece.

The role of Arsenyev in the film went to Yuri Solomin, and the Japanese actor Tosiro Mifune was supposed to play Dersu, who, however, refused this role, justifying this by the fact that he was not ready for such a long shooting, and as a result, the role of the Taiga Eagle was played by Tuvinsky actor Maxim Munzuk.
The film begins in 1910. Arsenyev visits the village under construction. One of the builders decides to find out the purpose of his visit, to which he replies that he is looking for the grave of a friend buried here three years ago. Transfers us in 1902. Arsenyev’s detachment travels to the Far East with the aim of conducting topographic survey of the area.

During the halt, soldiers meet a local hunter. He does not speak Russian very well, does not know his age, he has no home. His name is Dersu ala.

At first, soldiers laugh at him and his speech, but soon understand all his wisdom, experience and kindness. Once Dersu saves life Arseniev, after which their paths diverge.

The soldiers go to the city, offering the hunter to go with them, but he is forced to refuse, since he does not imagine life outside the taiga. However, the separation was short -lived. They meet again in 1907, when Arseniev again went on a trip to wild and unknown places.

They experience many adventures together, but soon their friendship should end. Once they meet a tiger, and a led by fear of Dersu shoots him. With his actions, he angered the forest spirit, which takes accuracy from him, and it is impossible to survive without accuracy in the taiga. Realizing that death awaits him in wild places, Dersu and Arseniev go to Khabarovsk. Life in the city is given to him hard.

Soon he does not withstand and asks the captain to let him go back into the forest. Arseniev agrees and gives him a new rifle with an improved sight, which does not require special accuracy.

However, it is this rifle that causes Dersu’s death. He died as a result of a robbery. Robbers wanted to take possession of a rifle and killed a hunter. The film ends with the scene of the funeral for Dersu.

So, what did I like this movie? This picture was able to cause a whole range of emotions. When you look at Dersu, you feel the feelings that the soldiers. At first it seems that this is just a nearby merryman, but then you begin to realize that he is wise and experienced. This is facilitated by the wonderful acting game Maxim Munzuk. One of the main thoughts of the picture is friendship.

Honestly, I really miss such good and mental films, because I am already tired of looking at violence and murders that have firmly entrenched on the screens. And, of course, it turned out to be fully transmitting the message thanks to the brilliant picture of Kurosava and the wonderful music of Isaac Schwartz.
Summing up, I want to say that the cooperation of the USSR and Japan turned out to be productive, the collection of world masterpieces was replenished, like my collection of favorite films, where Dersu took the honorable first place.
